About Us

In 1984, a group of men in Blessed Sacrament parish decided they wanted to form a Knights of Columbus Council. Through their hard work and dedication, on December 4, 1984, Blessed Sacrament Council 8844 was granted its charter. What started with a small group of men has grown to over 130 men dedicated to the four core principles of the Order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, & Patriotism.

Be a part of tradition and help build the future!

When I retired from the Air Force, I was looking for a purpose I could fulfill with the church. I was asked to join the Knights of Columbus and jumped at the chance. It has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience for me. – Bob Dorsey

I have been a Catholic my whole life but until recent years I was sitting on the proverbial fence, not really doing anything to increase my faith. I have since joined the Knights and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. – Joe Izzillo

I joined the Knights of Columbus because a close friend convinced me to do so. I was no different than so many others, too much going on, plenty of reasons to say I was too busy to get involved. The Knights are about friendships, community, and the love & service of God. It was the best decision I made and I’m glad I made time for it. – Edwin Hubbeling Sr.
